John Giles, the past president of the Alabama Christian Coalition, announced his endorsement of Bryan Taylor for Chief Justice Monday.
Giles, posting to his Facebook page, did not hold back in declaring his support for the conservative outsider, calling Taylor “an economic, moral, social, and Constitution conservative.”
“He is unflinching, unwavering, and unafraid to stand alone,” Giles added. “As a legal advisor to the Governor, he fought for the Alabama Constitution agains the illegal casino bosses. He is a strict constructionist and Constitutional originalist.”
“As Chief Justice, Bryan will be guided by his faith, and wioll set a tone on the court to discourage judicial activism and carry out equal justice under the law.”
Giles is well-known in conservative and evangelical circles in Alabama and has advocated for the pro-life, pro-family agenda for over 40 years.
